At Mission Point Church, we see it as our God-given Mission:
“To lovingly point people to the Savior, the Scripture, and to Sacrificial Service in HIs Name.”
The type of ‘pointing’ we feel called to do (first for ourselves and then for others) is NOT the judging, accusatory, or morally superior pointing that the world sometimes rightly accuses Christians of, but rather, that humble, loving, encouraging, and exciting type of pointing that occurs “when one beggar shows another where to find life-giving food” or when we joyfully point to the ones we love! That’s what we’re trying to do! To simply point ourselves (and others) to the ONE we love!!
In response, we believe people will experience:
HOPE - as we (and those we point to Him) meet, befriend, and fall in love with the Savior, Jesus!
INSPIRATION - as we discover more about God and His will in the Scriptures!
PURPOSE - as we learn to do what He has perfectly designed us to do for Him, His Church, and the hurting people of this world!
At Mission Point, we believe that the Church (the Body of Christ, which is all of us) Has a mission!! Our mission is the same mission that Jesus gave to the Church in Matthew 28. And, that ‘life-giving mission’ absolutely must be accomplished!
“Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20 (NLT)
